A Week of collaboration in Cork: ACTRIS at the 4th ESFRI Stakeholder Forum Meetup and UCC visit

ACTRIS participated in the 4th ESFRI Stakeholder Forum Meetup, held in Cork, Ireland, on 22 September 2026.

The event brought together representatives of European Research Infrastructures, policymakers, and members of the wider research community to discuss the strategic development of the European Research Infrastructure landscape. The forum focused on strengthening coordination across infrastructures, improving user access, and addressing challenges related to research data sovereignty and resilience.

Alongside participation in the Stakeholder Forum, ACTRIS joined colleagues from IAGOS for a visit to the Irish Atmospheric Simulation Chamber facility.

The discussions throughout the week highlighted the value of collaboration across environmental and atmospheric research infrastructures in addressing scientific and societal challenges. ACTRIS remains committed to contributing to a strong, connected, and accessible European research area that supports scientific excellence, innovation, and evidence-based policymaking.
