The ENVRINNOV (ENVIronment Research infrastructures INNOVation Roadmap) project partners, led by CNRS, successfully organised a training session entitled “Environmental Research Infrastructures and Industry: How Can We Better Collaborate for Innovation?” during the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025, which took place in Vienna, Austria on 30 April 2025. As a partner of the project and a member of the ENVRI community, ACTRIS ERIC participated in this project.
Highlights of the Session:
- Introduction to innovation in ENVRIs and its benefits.
- Demonstration of how ENVRINNOV supports ENVRIs in their innovation journey.
- Exploration of enhancing communication and collaboration between ENVRIs and the private sector.
Over 30 participants engaged in a two-hour discussion, with insightful presentations from both research infrastructure representatives and private sector contributors. A big thank you to Adrien Danner (DMT), Lucas Marc (CLS), and Craig Syms (Seaglass Blue) for sharing their success stories and keys to successful cooperation.
This was the first of a series of capacity-building activities designed to promote a shared understanding of innovation processes within the ENVRI ecosystem. For more information and to participate in upcoming activities, please visit: bit.ly/contact_envrinnov
