RPG radar Training in Delft, The Netherlands

The RPG Doppler Cloud Radar Workshop was held at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, from 17–19 June 2026. A total of 19 people attended. The workshop brought together 10 participants representing 8 different National Facilities (NFs) from 7 countries, providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange within the radar community.
Over the course of the three-day event, participants attended 4 presentations and 6 hands-on training sessions. The program covered a broad range of technical and operational topics related to radar systems and measurements. Key topics included:
- DCR clear-sky and liquid nitrogen calibration
- Chirp table preparations
- DCR MDF, MBF and triggering
- DCR Radome change
- Horizontal wind profiling
- FMCW radar principles
- Comparison of Rain Gauge and Disdrometer measurements
