ACTRIS at EAC2025

EAC25

The European Aerosol Conference (EAC2025) was organised in Lecce (Italy) under the auspices of the European Aerosol Assembly and hosted by the Italian Aerosol Society (IAS) with the collaboration of the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (CNR-ISAC), and the University of Salento.

EAC2025 covered all fields of aerosol research and technology, with more than 390 oral presentations and more than 700 posters, five exciting plenary lectures, and two keynotes on cutting-edge topics for the aerosol research community. EAC2025 welcomed more than 1100 scientists, engineers, researchers, representatives of companies and institutions, and users involved in studies focused on science, technology, impact, measurements, and characterisation of aerosols. In all, 51 different countries were represented.

Over 30 sponsors and exhibitors joined the Conference to showcase the latest offerings in aerosol instrumentation and technology. Their support enables EAC to become the main aerosol conference in Europe.

ACTRIS was a sponsor and an exhibitor at EAC2025. ACTRIS hosted a booth where we shared information about ACTRIS data and services, ATMO-ACCESS virtual resources, upcoming second IRISCC call for access, ACTRIS Week, and ACTRIS Science Conference 2026. Lucia Mona delivered an overview talk about ACTRIS while Mikhail Paramonov presented a poster on CARGO-ACT project. In addition, the conference included several additional meetings and networking events that helped to continue existing collaborations or establish new ones. The Aerosol In Situ community meeting was also held during the conference, focusing on the next steps in the NF labelling process and progress in near-real-time data submission. Finally, a guided visit was organized to the Environmental-Climate Observatory (ECO, ACTRIS National Facility) and to the MAGA (ACTRIS Exploratory Platform).
