ACTRIS Week 2026

Physical Meeting (with a possibility of remote connection)

Meeting venueACTRIS Week 2025 will take place in Évora, Portugal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The meetings will be held at the University of Évora premises.
Aim

The aim of the ACTRIS Week 2025 is to bring the ACTRIS Community together, to update the community about the most recent and ongoing ACTRIS progress, projects and challenges, and to provide a platform for various ACTRIS and ACTRIS-adjacent groups and communities to get together.

ACTRIS Week 2025 will set the stage for the CARGO-ACT community session, the next ACTRIS National Facility Technical and Scientific Forum, as well as the Central Facility workshops.

RegistrationRegistration will open in late August 2025.
Programme

Preliminary agenda of the ACTRIS Week 2025 can be found here. The agenda is structured as follows:

Tuesday October 21st - general ACTRIS session and CARGO-ACT community session (start at 13:30)

Wednesday October 22nd - Central Facility and other workshops. The following workshops are to take place:

  • ASCC (atmospheric simulation chamber committee) workshop
  • CAIS-ECAC (aerosol in situ) workshop
  • CARS-ARES (aerosol remote sensing) workshop
  • CIS (cloud in situ) workshop
  • CCRES (cloud remote sensing) workshop
  • CiGas (trace gases in situ) workshop

Thursday October 23rd - National Facility Technical & Scientific Forum

Social Activities

A guided city tour of Évora will take place on Tuesday October 21st after the main programe. The cost of the tour is graciously covered by the University of Évora.

Conference dinner will take place on Wednesday October 22nd at 19:30 at the Hotel M'Ar de Ar Muralhas (Tv. da Palmeira 4). The restaurant is a 15-min walk from the University of Évora premises.

Transport

Évora is located in the region of Alentejo, in the south of Portugal, about 140km east of Lisbon.

Lisbon-Portela Airport (LIS) is the nearest airport and the largest in the country with direct flights to all parts of Europe and beyond. FlixBus provides a direct connection from Lisbon Airport to Evora a couple of times a day. Alternativey, Lisbon Oriente train station has multiple daily train and bus departures to Evora. Lisbon Oriente train station can be easly accessed from the airport by metro.

AccommodationParticipants are encouraged to use search engines such as Google and Booking.com to search for appropriate accommodation.
