Training session on Grafana tool for Housekeeping Data monitoring
On May 7, CCRES organised an online training session for Housekeeping Data monitoring.
During that session was presented Grafana server provided by CCRES to visualize and monitor housekeeping data. More specifically were discussed :
- How to access Grafana ;
- The available dashboards ;
- How to use the "explore" feature of Grafana to create your plot ;
- Future developments ;
- Feedbacks and questions from users
15 representatives from Cloud Remote Sensing National Facilities took part to the training.

Workshop on ground-based Microwave Radiometer Operation and Calibration
Workshop content
• Microwave radiometry background (theory, retrieval development)
• Practical aspects of MWR operation in ACTRIS and links to other networks (E-Profile)
• Calibration methods, hands-on calibration training with RPG HATPRO MWRs
• ACTRIS MWR data processing and quality control
• New developments in microwave radiometrY
Target group
The workshop targets operators of microwave radiometers in networks, such as the ACTRIS Cloud Remote Sensing network (Cloudnet), E-Profile and others. The workshop is also open for interested people beyond this network with interest on microwave radiometers.
How to apply
Please send an e-mail until 15 February 2024 to actris-ccres-mwr@uni-koeln.de including a short statement with your main motivation and interests.
Please provide following information:
- Are you currently operating a microwave radiometer? If so, which type?
- Which networks are you participating?
- Are you running special data processing or creating own retrieval algorithms?
The number of participants is limited, participants from ACTRIS National Facilities who have not attended previous workshops will be prioritized.
We will inform you about your participation shortly after the application deadline.

ACMCC Intercomparison Workshop
From November 6 to 16, the ACSM intercomparison campaign brought together a group of European researchers and experts from Aerodyne and Addair at the SIRTA station, host of the Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor calibration center (ACMCC, located at SIRTA-LSCE) France. The workshop included hands-on training as well as workshops focusing on data processing and data submission. Three devices of the latest ACSM versions, the ToF-ACSM-X were deployed for the first time in Europe. The intercomparison of all types of ACSM instruments (5 Q-ACSM, 5 ToF-ACSM, and 3 ToF-ACSM-X) continued ambient air sampling until the end of November 2023.
This year, the combination of all ACSM types during the intercomparison period will lead to an interesting evaluation of both new and standard ACSM models.
