What is ACTRIS?

ACTRIS is the European Research Infrastructure for the observation of Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases. ACTRIS is composed of observing stations, exploratory platforms, instrument calibration centres, and a data centre. ACTRIS serves a vast community of users working on atmospheric research, climate and Earth system and air quality models, satellite retrievals, weather analysis and forecast systems by offering high quality data and research infrastructure services for atmospheric aerosols, clouds, and trace gases. Final ACTRIS-2 General Meeting

The ACTRIS community gathered at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt for the final ACTRIS-2 project meeting. More than 160 people attended the event.This project, coordinated by CNR and funded by Horizon2020 involves 31 partners from 21 countries.

Cloud Radar Calibration Campaign III by CCRES (March-April 2019)

The Cloud radar calibration experiment conducted by ACTRIS CCRES started on 20 March 2019 at the SIRTA Research Observatory in Palaiseau, France. It will last 1 month. The campaign involves Cloud Radars manufactured by Metek, Modem and RPG.
