EMeRGe Campaign 2017

Invitation for participation: EMeRGe (Effect of Megacities on the Transport and Transformation of Pollutants on the Regional and Global Scale)

A campaign with the High Altitude and Long Range Research Aircraft HALO

EMeRGe investigates the impact of major population centers on air pollution at local, regional and hemispheric scales. The transport and transformation of plumes from selected European major population centers will be investigated. A special focus lies on the formation of ozone and aerosols. The measurements will be performed from 10th July to 30th July 2017.

The airborne measurements from HALO will be supported with satellite observations and ground-based measurements. ACTRIS stations are most welcome to contribute to EMeRGe. In case of interest please contact joerg.schmidt@uni-leipzig.de.
